Clive GreenCodsall, United KingdomVerified Buyer3 of 5I recently bought the We The People 18" BMX from SkatePro for my grandson. It arrived promptly and as described, and my grandson absolutely loves the bike—which is great.
However, I was really disappointed to find that the brake levers are completely mismatched in both colour and design—one is silver, the other black, and they differ in profile. It really spoils the overall look of an otherwise well-made bike.
I contacted SkatePro to see if they could send a matching brake lever, but their response was quite dismissive. They explained that the mismatched lever is due to legal requirements and not shown in the product pictures, so they wouldn't offer a replacement.
Great product, but disappointing attention to detail—and even more disappointing customer service when I tried to resolve it.Reply from SkateProThanks for your feedback, and we’re happy your grandson loves the bike! We apologize for the mismatched brake levers—this is due to legal safety requirements, which we try to clarify, but we understand it can be disappointing. We also regret that our response didn’t meet your expectations and will work to improve. / SkatePro TeamMelanie HeinWuppertal, GermanyVerified Buyer5 of 5Everything superMarcin LisNiepołomice, PolandVerified Buyer5 of 5Everything ok, baby MEGA satisfied, fast delivery and price lowest.Maria KyedTikøb, DenmarkVerified Buyer3 of 5Fast delivery and nice bmx, intermediate that what is bought with the bike does not fit despite you can tick the purchase for the bikeReply from SkateProHi Maria. Thanks for your review.
Salt Pro Steel/Nylon BMX pegs have a narrower inner diameter than most other pegs, and therefore do not fit normal 17mm lock-nuts. We have contacted you and found a solution - one solution is to use the "Mission Steel BMX Axle Nuts" available on the website. We will correct the error on our website so that it does not suggest pegs that do not fit the bike as an option.
We apologize for the error.
