These Chaya skates are fantastic for novices keen on beginning roller derby. This skate offers an excellent platform without costing the earth. The interesting part is that if you determine that Roller Derby suits you, there is always an option to upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more bespoke style and superior parts.

The boot has a very soft inner with even softer padding, ensuring a snug fit. It is constructed from a composite material that is both easy to maintain and scratch-resistant. The low cut design allows for optimal manoeuvrability.

The Shari 3.0 plate on these Ruby skates combines nylon and fibreglass, making them both highly wear-resistant, durable, and lightweight. It can be mounted to most Chaya boots using the Dual Centre Mounting, allowing you to adjust the boot's angle to your individual riding style on the plate. The Power toe system enhances your power, speed, and control while maintaining a slight pre-tension in your muscles for quicker reactions.

In this setup, the Ruby does not use the DCM mounting system. Instead, it is mounted using a traditional 4 bolt setup.

The trucks are crafted from aluminium and have an angle of 20º.

The Octo Paseo wheels on the Ruby Soft have a 78A durometer and are shaped to provide beginners with an easy-to-use wheel suitable for various surfaces. Note that if you plan to use these skates solely for indoor derby, you might consider acquiring harder wheels that would be better suited for such conditions.

The Cherry Toe stopper enhances your control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings offer a good balance of comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure an effortless roll speed.
