Onyx Element 5mm Chestzip 2019 Wetsuit

This is the larger counterpart in the Onyx Element series, featuring a 5mm thickness and equipped with a chest zip and flip-over - which offers a superior closure system to prevent flush-throughs around the neck. An excellent option for colder waters.

Features:

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a solvent-free, water-based adhesive used in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To fortify stress points inside the wetsuit, Ion has integrated Melco tape for extra durability. Ion advises: “Should you accidentally leave the suit in the boot of your car on a hot day, the tape may start to peel. Don’t worry! Use an iron gently on the affected area as the glue reactivates with heat.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits designed to follow body contours, enhancing flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits include contour cuts.

• Drain Holes

Drain holes are incorporated to prevent water build-up where fabric layers overlap. These drain holes will not enlarge.

• Supra Tex

Durable fabric utilised in areas more prone to wear, such as the knee regions. The Supra Tex fabric offers increased abrasion resistance.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

For efficient bonding of neoprene panels to achieve exceptional water resistance, a combination of glueing and blind stitching the panels together is employed.
