Description
Youth Gone Wild's series of titanium bars offer stiffness and lightness comparable to steel bars but with half the molecular density. Consequently, the titanium bars are practically as light as aluminium while being just as strong as steel. A key advantage of using titanium lies in its elongation and tensile strength properties. This gives titanium bars an exceptionally flexible feel compared to steel or aluminium bars, while also enhancing their durability. The titanium will flex back to its original shape rather than bend.
Considering the price and the mechanical properties of the titanium bars, we recommend them mainly for riders with a specific level of expertise, from intermediate to professional at the least. This is because, like bars made from other materials, they can break if not utilised correctly.
The Flight bar features a reinforced T-bar design with strengthening gussets precisely where the top section merges with the downtube. It is somewhat lighter than the Digger bar, weighing just 763 grams. It is oversized with an external diameter of 35mm and is compatible with SCS compression.
