Topaz Roller Derby Skates

Positioned just above the midpoint in the range of Derby specialised quad skates within the Chaya range, these Topaz skates present an excellent foundation to further your skill development without overspending. The fantastic aspect is that if you dedicate yourself to Roller Derby, you have the option to upgrade the plate, wheels, and other components for a more personalised style and enhanced parts.

The boot is crafted in the low-profile design of a sneaker and covered in Polyurethane Nano Leather, which is both soft to the touch and resistant to wear from contact with, for example, Derby rink floors or other derby players. The Poron/EVA padding is incredibly soft and comfortable, allowing you to skate throughout the day with minimal to no discomfort. To improve the fit, Chaya has made the boot and liner completely heat-mouldable, enabling you to achieve that second-skin fit. It is low cut for optimal manoeuvrability.

For the Topaz, Chaya has chosen their Zena plates. They are remarkably durable, lightweight, and also compatible with the Chaya unique Dual Center Mounting, which allows you to angle the boot to suit your specific riding style atop the plate. The Power toe system provides greater power, speed, and control while maintaining a slight pre-tension in your muscles, enabling quick reactions and instant direction changes.

The trucks are constructed from aluminium and have an angle of 20º.

The Octo Edge wheels are wide and grippy and feature a 92A durometer.

The Chaya Cherry Bomb toe-stopper offers additional control and manoeuvrability. The semi-soft Jelly Interlock bushings deliver a fine balance between comfort and control. The Wicked ABEC7 bearings ensure effortless roll speed.
