Guide to Assembling a Stunt Scooter

Constructing your own custom stunt scooter can be challenging. Numerous components may not align, and improper assembly could damage parts easily. This guide offers insights and suggestions for assembling a scooter.

Due to varying standards, there is no single guide on custom scooter assembly. Most individuals should use our Custom Scooter Builder tool to verify compatibility of all components.

Components of a Custom Trick Scooter

1x Deck	Brake & bolt included unless specified otherwise
1x Fork	Some forks may not accommodate 110mm wheels
1x Bar	Note that oversized bars necessitate oversized clamps
1x Headset	Threadless headsets are compatible only with threadless forks
1x Compression	Various systems exist, with ICS, HIC & SCS being the most common
1x Set of Grips	Grips generally fit all bars unless stated otherwise
1x Clamp	Remember, an oversized clamp needs an oversized bar
1x Grip Tape	A free choice, although some might require cutting
2x Wheel	1 wheel included per package unless indicated otherwise
4x Bearings	Our bearings fit with all our wheels unless indicated otherwise
2x Spacer (8mm)	Omitting spacers may result in destroyed bearings

Prepare to spend at least 3 hours on assembly if inexperienced
Opt for components from the same brand with compatible dimensions.
Should you choose lightweight components, be aware they tend to break more easily than sturdier ones.
We advise serious riders to opt for a threadless headset and fork with a compression system.
Upon receiving your package, confirm all components and their compatibility before beginning assembly. (You can return unused parts).
Tighten all screws and nuts prior to riding and maintain the scooter according to the manual. Replace any faulty components & spare parts.
Over time, your scooter's headset may become loose. More expensive headsets are not exempt from this issue and won’t stay "silent" indefinitely. (Tightening the compression system often helps)
Avoid water, sand, humid conditions, and too many failed stunts. ;)
