• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is an eco-friendly, water-based adhesive used in all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To bolster stress points within the wetsuit, Ion has added Melco tape to improve durability. Ion advises: “If you mistakenly left the wetsuit in the boot of your car on a scorching day, the tape may begin to peel off. Don't worry! Simply use an iron gently over the affected area, as the glue reactivates with heat.”

• Contour Cut

Wetsuits designed to follow body contours improve both flexibility and comfort. All Ion wetsuits incorporate a contour cut.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water from accumulating at fabric overlap points, drain holes are incorporated. These drain holes won’t enlarge.

• Supra Tex

Fabrics employed for high-wear areas of the wetsuit, such as the knee zones. Supra Tex fabric is more resistant to abrasion.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

To bond neoprene panels effectively, achieving excellent water resistance, this method involves glueing and blind stitching the panels together.
