Onyx Core Shorty 2mm Chestzip 2018 Wetsuit

The Onyx Core Shorty is a 2mm wetsuit featuring a snug fit design. It includes long sleeves and a front chest zip. This innovative chest zipper effectively prevents water entry at the top of the suit, reducing flush-throughs in the neck region.

• Aqua-A

Aqua-A is a water-based adhesive without solvents, incorporated into all Ion wetsuits.

• Seam reinforcements

To reinforce stress points within the wetsuit, Ion has added Melco tape for enhanced durability. Ion advises: “If you've mistakenly left the suit in your car's boot on a hot day, the tape might begin to peel. Stay calm! Carefully apply an iron over the impacted area, as the glue will reactivate with heat.”

• Contour Cut

This wetsuit follows the body's natural contours, improving both flexibility and comfort. Every Ion wetsuit features this contour cut design.

• Drain Holes

To prevent water build-up at points where fabric layers overlap, drain holes are included. These holes will not enlarge over time.

• Internal Key Pocket

On the inside of the wetsuit, there is a secure internal pocket suitable for holding keys, with water-resistant properties.

• GBS - Glued Blind Stitched

To expertly bond neoprene panels and achieve excellent water resistance, a combination of glueing and blind-stitch sewing is employed.

• Supra Tex

The fabric used for areas of the wetsuit exposed to more wear, such as the knees. Supra Tex is extra resistant to abrasion.
