Changing Fischer Twin Skin Race Mohair Skins is a fairly straightforward process:
1) Begin by warming the old skins slightly with a hairdryer or iron
2) Starting from the rear end, carefully lift and detach the old skin using a sharp tool
3) Cleanse the skin groove and remove any leftover adhesive
4) Peel away about 5cm of the protective film from the front of the new skin
5) Ensure the hairs face the correct direction: when you glide your finger from the front to the rear of the skin, there should be no resistance felt
6) Place the skin into the groove at the front end and press it down with your finger
7) Proceed by pressing the skin into the groove working from front to rear. Subsequently, peel off the film from front to rear with one hand while gently pressing down the skin with the other hand in the same manner. Important: avoid stretching the skin entirely, as it should retain its original length for a perfect fit within the skin groove.
Finally, go over the skin repeatedly with your hand, applying pressure to ensure it is flat and even. If any bumps are present, press them down to eliminate them.
