SHELL
The X-Tech shell was crafted with robustness and support as priorities. Additionally, it boasts a distinctive sporty appearance that sets it apart from the rest. It is fashioned from a specialised composite compound that is exceptionally rigid, courtesy of 25% fibreglass incorporated into the material. This composition makes the shell particularly strong and supportive. It also features a 195mm long mounting distance with X-slot to allow adjustment of all frames to the side, front, and rear to achieve the perfect skating position for everyone. The bottom is ventilated and integrates the X design to ensure torsion stiffness and optimal power transfer with every stride.
CUFF
Built with support in mind, the adjustable X-Tech cuff is constructed from a specialised composite compound that is exceptionally stiff due to the 25% fibreglass blended into the material. In addition, it has an aluminium side stride bar to enhance support further. This cuff can be adjusted in forward flex in the hinge area, allowing sporty skaters increased flex to the front and rear, while intermediate skaters might reduce flex for added support and a less deep skating stance. Moreover, this cuff's height can be adjusted for a lower or higher position, offering varying levels of support. Its buckle features a sleek and stylish fast lock design.
PADDING
The skate is designed with a 2-piece construction. The bottom is shoe-like, providing a secure rear fit to prevent heel movement. The upper section consists of a flexible cuff with thick padding that envelopes the leg snugly, offering tremendous support while ensuring freedom of movement. The tongue padding is 3-D moulded, contouring to the foot's shape.
LACING
This model showcases a high-quality PU upper. It includes a rapid lacing system with woven loops for effortless and swift, yet efficient lacing. An open sidewall and a distinctive 2-piece construction not only deliver perfect ventilation and comfort but also ensure a snug fit. Superior stitching quality and meticulous detailing, along with a rear carrying strap, complement this outstanding skate. The upper is directly connected to the shell, enabling excellent power transfer and enhanced foot support and stability. This shell Connected Construction (SCC) enhances the skate's manoeuvrability.
FRAME
The XC Path frame is a singular piece, CNC machined with precision, crafted from a strong and solid extrusion. This frame sets a new benchmark; it is robust, rigid, responsive, and lightweight. The XC Path frame offers two mounting distance standards – the 165mm and the 195mm standard, allowing combinations with various overboots if required. The frame provides the option to adjust the wheel position to be either higher or lower off the ground. The XC Path comes with 8mm axles and pre-installed frame spacers, requiring no additional parts for seamless roll right out of the box. Two frame sizes are available – 17,7” / 450mm fits shoe sizes up to 41 EU, and 20,2” / 514mm fits size 42 and above.
TYRES & BEARINGS
The skate is equipped with Powerslide Rustproof bearings lubricated with light grease. It includes serviceable shields, a durable composite cage, and 7 steel balls, honed and finished to perfection for a smooth and enjoyable roll. The raceways and balls feature a special coating to prevent rust. The 6 ¼” air tyres are produced by Kenda – a reputable tyre manufacturer. They come with a robust 5-spoke rim. The area around the valve is sealed with rim tape, commonly used in bicycle tyres. The rubber outer layer is highly durable, long-lasting, and features an off-road tread for improved grip. The tyres can be inflated to a maximum of 6,3bar / 90 psi. For skaters preferring mainly asphalt roads and seeking more speed, we also offer 150mm Super High Rebound PU wheels.
BRAKE
The Powerslide calf brake provides numerous options for adjustment tailored to the skater's individual preferences and skill level, ensuring a secure and optimal braking experience. The brake pad's position can be modified in all directions and angles. The height adjustment feature is ideal for achieving the preferred braking stance, whether with more straight or angled legs. As the brake pad wears down, its angle can be adjusted to maintain optimal braking efficiency, enhancing safety and security. The pad is easily replaceable when worn. Additionally, the soft pad's height can be adjusted once securely fastened to the leg, and it can be shifted forward and backwards. The skate comes with a single brake system. Skaters have the option to move the brake to the opposite side if desired, or they can purchase an additional brake system to be installed on the other skate, should they feel more secure with two brakes.
